Position: As needed. Primary needs are on weekends from 6am-6pm and afternoons from 4pm to 8pm.
Must work a minimum of 1 weekend a month to maintain employment. Must be willing to work rotating holidays.
Job Summary: Responsible for providing timely and courteous service to patients, physicians, and hospital staff by collecting satisfactory blood specimens from patients. Responsible for collecting and processing all specimen types, as well as preparation of reference lab specimens. Must be proficient in all methods of phlebotomy collection (including arterial), as well as the use of waived testing; being able to test specified patient samples once competent. Must be able to competently perform urine drug screens for post-accident, DOT, and pre-employment upon completion of training.
Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. One year phlebotomy experience required for any applicant who is not certified.
Preferred: A certification awarded by ASCP, ASPT, or NCA is preferred but not required. A year of phlebotomy experience preferred but not required for certified applicants.
