Day Shift (6am-6pm), Night Shift (6pm-6am) FT, PT & PRN available
Overview
The LPN is responsible for direct, individualized, goal directed, and effective patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. This position is also responsible for providing quality patient care, administration of medications and reporting patient symptoms and conditions to the Registered Nurse.
Requirements
Education:
- Certificate from accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program
Work Experience
- Possess knowledge of the nursing process, including skills for the assigned area of duty
- Relevant clinical experience as an LPN
Licenses & Certifications
- Current Alabama LPN licensure.
- Current BLS CPR Certification
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Knowledge and experience documenting patient care in an electronic medical record
- Ability to make knowledgeable clinical assessments and judgments
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to educate staff, patients, and families
- Demonstrates effective and respectful communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Ability to facilitate resolution of issues
- Demonstrates ability to maintain patient and family privacy and confidentiality
