Lake Martin Community Hospital is looking to hire a full-time Dietary Cook. (Every other weekend is a requirement)
Hours:
Monday 10a-6p
Tuesday-Thursday 6a-2p
Saturday and Sunday 10a-6p
Qualifications
- Must be able to prepare/serve patient meals according to menu.
- Prepare cafeteria means in accordance with company standards and procedures.
- Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure food safety.
- Cook foods according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, and numbers of portions to be served.
- Stock, rotate and store food supplies.
- Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and other cooking equipment.
- Apportion and serve food to facility residents, employees, and patrons.
- Clean and inspect equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.
- Clean, cut, and cook meat, fish, and poultry.
- Assist in training new employees.
- Assist with inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Assist in requisition of food supplies, kitchen equipment, and appliances based on estimates of future needs.
- Bake breads, rolls and other pastries.
- Monitor use of government food commodities to ensure that proper procedures are followed.
- Compile and maintain records of food use and expenditures.
- Prepare cafeteria meals and maintain a clean work environment.
- Stock food supplies.
- Knowledge of foodservice equipment such as but not limited to: Dish Machine, Fryer, Oven, Food Processor, Copy Machine, Computer, Cash Register.
- Food service experience preferred but not required.
- Servsafe certification preferred but not required upon hiring; must be able to pass within a few months of employment.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
