Lake Martin Community Hospital is looking to hire a full-time Dietary Cook. (Every other weekend is a requirement)

Hours:

Monday 10a-6p

Tuesday-Thursday 6a-2p

Saturday and Sunday 10a-6p

Qualifications

  • Must be able to prepare/serve patient meals according to menu.
  • Prepare cafeteria means in accordance with company standards and procedures.
  • Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure food safety.
  • Cook foods according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, and numbers of portions to be served.
  • Stock, rotate and store food supplies.
  • Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and other cooking equipment.
  • Apportion and serve food to facility residents, employees, and patrons.
  • Clean and inspect equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.
  • Clean, cut, and cook meat, fish, and poultry.
  • Assist in training new employees.
  • Assist with inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Assist in requisition of food supplies, kitchen equipment, and appliances based on estimates of future needs.
  • Bake breads, rolls and other pastries.
  • Monitor use of government food commodities to ensure that proper procedures are followed.
  • Compile and maintain records of food use and expenditures.
  • Prepare cafeteria meals and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Stock food supplies.
  • Knowledge of foodservice equipment such as but not limited to: Dish Machine, Fryer, Oven, Food Processor, Copy Machine, Computer, Cash Register.
  • Food service experience preferred but not required.
  • Servsafe certification preferred but not required upon hiring; must be able to pass within a few months of employment.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.
