Maintenance Technician-Lake Martin Community Hospital (Full-Time)

Position Overview:    To assist with servicing and maintaining hospital buildings, equipment and grounds on a scheduled basis so that all mechanical devises are in good, operational condition at all times.   

Qualifications:           

1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. Experience in electrical, plumbing and mechanical for institutional facilities preferred.
3. Basic knowledge of operation and care of all major equipment in hospital.
4. Contractor licensure, HVAC licensure, carpentry skills a plus.

• Maintains and services buildings, grounds, equipment, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration and sanitation.
• On-call for hospital repairs and emergencies.
• Performs carpentry, plumbing and electrical duties and subcontracts when needed.
• Assists with Life Safety codes, including fire drills.
• Assists with hospital security.
• Advises administration of structural changes and repairs.
• Recommends needed supplies, tools and equipment orders.
• Keeps files on all equipment and servicing records.
• Ensures cleaning schedule is followed for equipment.
• Addresses safety issues.
• Assist with care and upkeep of hospital transportation vehicles.
• Brings ideas, concerns, and suggestions to management.
• Works on/completes daily work orders sent in from each department.
• Maintains confidentiality of all patients’ health information and other confidential nature of items of which he has knowledge.
• Other duties as assigned and which may relate to field work in the care of Lake Martin Community Hospital patient’s, comfort, and happiness as assigned by your supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
• Represents a caring, friendly and professional attitude to the patient/family or public that he/she has contact with.
• Follows established hospital policies and infection control program.
• Assumes responsibility for self-improvement by attendance at in-service classes, staff meetings and education related to personal growth and departmental needs.
