A Little About Us

Wetumpka Urgent Care is a walk-in medical care facility providing an alternative to long wait times in the emergency room. Wetumpka Urgent Care operates seven days a week. No referral or appointment is necessary and most insurances are accepted. Facilities are equipped with cutting -edge technology including digital X-rays, onsite labs, and electronic medical records.

The experienced professional staff of doctors, nurse practitioners, and medical professionals treat a wide range of injuries and medical conditions. Wetumpka Urgent Care is equipped with onsite x-ray and lab services for prompt results. Additional medical services such as flu shots, and sports physicals are also available. We are here to serve your medical needs treating patients of all ages. We look forward to taking care of you at Wetumpka Urgent Care.

Our Staff

  • Dr. Lee Aldrich, Ph.D., M.D.

    Dr. Aldrich is native of Syracuse, New York. He attended Florida State University and was a member of both Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Kappa honorary societies. He next went to Auburn University and obtained a Masters and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. He practiced psychology for nine years in Boston, MA, then left to attend Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at UAB Selma Family Medicine Residency. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine. He has been practicing in the Wetumpka community since 2001.

  • Dr. W. Lawrence Floyd, M.D.

    Dr. Floyd is a family practitioner board certified by the American Board of Family Physicians, who has practiced family medicine, urgent care, and emergency medicine for the past 33 years. He grew up in North Carolina and moved to Alabama after attending Vanderbilt University undergraduate and Duke University Medical School. A Family Medicine residency was completed as a part of the Medical College of Virginia program in Newport News, VA. Since that time, he has practiced as a solo primary care physician in Montgomery, worked in Emergency Rooms in Alabama and Virginia for more that 10 years, and has been employed by various urgent care centers around Central Alabama for the majority of his career. He is a proud father of two small dogs and presently spends most of his free time exercising and trying to keep up with technology and the advances in medicine.

  • Elizabeth Theeck, CRNP

    Elizabeth Theeck joins the Ivy Creek Healthcare Team as a Family Nurse
    Practitioner serving in the Chilton and Wetumpka Urgent Care Clinics.
    She graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a
    Masters of Science in Nursing and is board certified from the American
    Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Elizabeth has over seven years of
    experience as a registered nurse where she focused on Women's Health
    and Labor and Delivery. Being a native of Louisiana, Elizabeth enjoys
    all things Cajun. She was awarded the American Association of Nurse
    Practitioners Alabama state award for clinical excellence in 2016.

Saturday & Sunday 08:00am-4:00pm

Walk in COVID testing:
Weekdays until 5pm.
Saturday and Sunday until 2pm
Most insurances accepted.
