LMCH Laboratory serves outpatients, ER patients, and hospital 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. The services provided by LMCH Laboratory include: Blood Bank, Coagulation, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Microbiology, and Urinalysis. The laboratory has new Hematology and Coagulation analyzers. All current laboratory staff are certified in their respective areas (Phlebotomists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, and Medical Laboratory Scientists).
Sleep Disorder Studies
A lack of sleep can have serious consequences on your health. A lack of sleep can affect your immune system, slow your reflexes, and impair your judgement. If you snore, gasp for air, jerk your legs and arms at night, have trouble falling asleep, have trouble sleeping during the day, wake up frequently at night, you might have a sleep disorder. The board certified professional staff diagnosis and treats insomnia, snoring, sleep apnea, limb movement disorder, as well as many other sleep disorders. Weight Loss Clinic
The LMCH Radiology Department is available to patients 24 hours a day and 7 day a week to better serve our community and their medical needs. LMCH is partnered with Montgomery Radiology Associates Group.
Our department offers Diagnostic X-rays, CT (Computed Tomography), Ultrasound, MRI, DEXA (Bone Density & Total Body Composition), and Surgery-Fluoroscopic C-arm.

Using our state-of-the-art Olympus High Definition Endoscopy cameras, Dr. W. Keith Adkins specializes in upper and lower endoscopy procedures at Lake Martin Community Hospital. Through this technology, he is providing clients in the Lake Martin area with convenient, close-to-home, personalized care.
Dr. Eric Robinson performs x-ray guided epidural steroid injections, x-ray guided selective nerve block procedures, and spinal cord stimulator implant procedures. Spinal cord stimulator implant is a very specialized procedure for chronic back pain patients.
Dr. Ross Davis performs IV infusion therapy for cardiac patients.

The goal of the Case Management Department is to provide assistance to patient and families in order for patients to receive an optimal level of care in the hospital setting and provide a safe transition of care to an appropriate discharge destination.
The Case Manager acts as a liaison between the patient, family, physician, ancillary healthcare staff, and community services.
Through the process of discharge planning assessment, the patients need for continued care is identified. Referrals are made for home health, hospice, long term care, rehabilitation and assisted living. Other services such as drug and alcohol rehabilitation and access to durable medical equipment can be identified and arranged.
Patients, family care givers and healthcare providers all play a role in maintaining a patient’s health after discharge and decreasing the chances of readmission.

The Biomedical Department is responsible for maintaining, calibrating, and also repairing all medical grade hospital equipment. Ivy Creek Healthcare not only includes the respective hospitals, but also the various clinics and urgent care facilities associated with the hospitals. Our Director, Kyle, possesses three Electrical Degrees which allows him to properly repair and calibrate sensitive electronic devices. Kyle maintains a firm relationship with both staff and patient in all Ivy Creek Healthcare facilities.

At Lake Martin Community Hospital, we are committed to providing our patients with the best healthcare possible. That means our business office is readily available to help you with all your insurance needs. We accept most types of insurance including, but not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and all types of commercial insurances. We also accept worker’s compensation insurances.
Payment arrangements can be made through the business office prior to and after services are rendered, if financial assistance is needed. We accept all forms of payment such as cash, check, money order, VISA, MasterCard, and Discover. However, we do not accept American Express credit cards. Payment can be made through mail, over the phone, or just stop by the office. The business office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Patient Portal Information
The dietary staff is a valuable asset for Lake Martin Community Hospital. The very dedicated, loyal, and friendly staff is dedicated to nourishing the body and soul. The lady chefs provide meals for the patients, staff, and occasionally the public. Meals are carefully planned and prepared to meet the dietary needs of each individual patient.
Julie Hudson, Foodservice Director, Clinical Dietitian
Julie came to the hospital as a consultant in 2008 and was eventually hired full time in February 2010. Her background includes a B.S in Nutrition, Coordinated Program in Dietetics from the University of Alabama, 1989. Prior to joining the Lake Martin Hospital team, Julie worked at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL, 1989; The Midlands Center, Columbia, SC, 1989-1992; the Head Start program in Port St Lucie, FL, 2006; taught college level Nutrition at Indian River Community College in Stuart, FL, 2005-2007; and consulted at several nursing homes in Port St Lucie, FL, 2005-2007.
Among Julie’s greatest assets is her constant desire to improve and make changes to the menus here at Lake Martin. Julie and her staff love the challenge of providing the patients with healthy meals specific to their diet requirements and to provide meals that will keep the staff smiling.dietary1
Environmental Services is a vital and instrumental department for Lake Martin Community Hospital. The goal of the staff is to provide a clean and safe working environment for the patients, the public, and the staff.
The Environmental Services staff is:

This department helps ensure the patient’s stay is comfortable. They take pride in both the small and big details of maintaining a clean hospital environment. They manage their department well and keep it stocked in order to better serve the public. Their services are never taken for granted. The cleanliness of the hospital is such a critical component of good patient care. We are thankful to have such a committed group of employees!
The Medical Records Department is available to serve our patients and community from 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday – Friday. Some of the responsibilities handled within our department are the requests for Medical Records from lawyers, disability, insurance companies, and other physician offices. There may be a minimal charge for retrieving copies of records and/or radiology films. As the HIPPA privacy laws change, we must update our procedures, which involve improvements from paper medical records to electronic medical records. We maintain up to date credentialing information on all physicians on staff, plus we maintain up to date information for the Alabama Cancer Registry. We have a full-time medical transcriptionist on staff and two full-time medical records professional coders on staff. If there is anything our department can do for you, please contact our office during the above-mentioned hours.
