Ivy Creek Hospice is locally owned by Ivy Creek Healthcare and has two facilities, Dadeville and Wetumpka, serving the needs of central Alabama. Ivy Creek Hospice provides medical care to terminally ill patients 24/7. If you have a terminally ill loved one that has frequent ED visits and hospitalizations, struggles with daily care, a high pill burden or uncontrolled symptoms Ivy Creek Hospice can help. You do have a choice with hospice care.
Ivy Creek Hospice is not just for cancer patients, any diagnosis can be considered for hospice care. Hospice care is about living not dying. Hospice care is aggressive symptom management that allows someone with an end stage illness to have a higher quality of life. Some of the diagnoses that may qualify a person for Hospice are cancer, heart disease, renal failure, stroke/coma, HIV/aids, alzheimer’s, ALS, lung disease/copd, liver disease. Linda Segrest, RN, CHNP
Linda is the Ivy Creek Hospice Regional Director. She is certified in hospice and palliative care since 2010. She is ELNEC certified. She has of hospice experience. She has extensive AHPCO involvement, including annual conference chair for 2 years and president for 3 years. She is a past member of the state wide coordinating council and medicaid advisory council, both appointed by Governor Bentley. She is an active member of Landmark Church. She has been married to Billy Segrest for 36 years and they live on the family farm in Shorter, AL. They have 3 kids, 1 son-in-law, 1 daughter-in-law and 5 grandchildren. Linda is very passionate about hospice and palliative care.
