We are seeking a qualified and dedicated medical coder to join our Ivy Creek Healthcare Network. In this position, you will be responsible for review of reports to abstract procedure, diagnosis, and implant information to be entered into our coding platform. To succeed in this role, you must possess in-depth knowledge of coding. The ideal candidate must also be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, as communicating with clinical staff and Business Office departments is critical for success.
Medical Coder Responsibilities:
- Accurately code Hospital records for classification procedures.
- Communicate with Medical Records, and Business Office departments for questions, missing documentation etc.
Medical Coder Requirements:
- Coding Certification required.
- A minimum of 1 year experience as a medical coder.
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- CPSI experience a plus.
